Before I started writing online, when I was just lurking in the background, observing the people who churned out quality blog posts, newsletters, and YouTube videos week after week...
I always wondered: How do they constantly come up with new things to write and talk about?
Secretly, that was one thing holding me back from starting to write online. I thought I could never have this many ideas and original insights to share.
But once I took the leap, I learned the truth: Nobody comes up with new original ideas all the time.
Everyone repurposes and remixes old content! Because that’s way easier than starting from scratch.
This insight helped me see the whole online writing game through a new lens.
I can take an old essay and make it more clear, more useful, more detailed. I can work in feedback, new ideas, and examples. Now it has become an entirely new piece of content that I can share.
I can also take an essay and turn it into a video. Or build a lead magnet around it. Or create a workshop on the same topic.
There are endless options to repurpose content.
